We joined forces with Printmaker’s Open Forum to host artist and inventor, Ross Mazzupappa to teach a roller making workshop at BYO Print in January, 2019. Over two days, attendees learned how to mix and tint polyurethane, cast the rubber into a tube shape, extract and construct the casting to make a custom, lightweight printing roller for home studio use. With projects like Ross’s Rollers, Mazzupappa aims to make printmaking more accessible to emerging artists by designing easy DIY versions of expensive printmaking equipment.
